Day 1: Casablanca Upon your arrival at the Mohamed V Airport in Casablanca, you will meet your guide, who will take you immediately to check in at your hotel. That afternoon, you will explore Casablanca, the largest port of the Morocco, You will conclude your day with check in to your hotel. Day 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT In the morning, after breakfast, you will depart for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Styled in a spaciously elegant European grid, yet slightly self-conscious of its modernity, Rabat has an ancient legacy that spans hundreds of generations. Each civilization that has inhabited the city has left its mark, resulting in a wide variety in architectural styles including those from the Phoenician and Roman eras. You will spend your day discovering the delights that Rabat has to offer, ending with check in to your hotel. Day 3: Rabat – Meknès – Fez After breakfast, you will travel to Meknes on an excursion that embodies a large part of Morocco’s early history. First you will travel through Volubilis, Morocco’s Roman provincial capital, and then through Moulay Idris, a creation of the country’s premier Arab dynasty. You will then continue onward to Fez, where you will check in to your hotel. Day 4: Fez Undeniably fascinating, Fez stimulates the senses with its haunting yet beautiful sounds, visual splendor, and evocative smells. The most ancient of imperial capitals and the most complete medieval city of the Islamic world, Fez is reminiscent of a city suspended in time, unfazed by the constantly evolving world outsides its walls, owing nothing to the Western world save electricity. Time spent in Fez will reveal much about the sophistication of the Moroccan artisan, providing an unparalleled learning experience to those who cross its path. Your morning will be spent visiting the Medina. You will break for lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant (optional) and will continue to explore and shop for the remainder of the day. DAY 5: FÈS – BENI-MELLAL – MARRAKECH Depart Fès after breakfast at the hotel, heading southwest towards Marrakech. Today’s road journey provides an enormous range of landscapes and allows for enticing photo stops as we drive along the foothill of the Atlas Mountains. Pass the mountain town of Ifrane (1,650m altitude), the Berber villages of Azrou and Khenifra, making a stop in BeniMellal for lunch (optional). Belonging to beautiful orange groves and olive groves, the town of Beni-Mellal is a rendezvous for nature and mountain lovers and adventure seekers. Arrive in Marrakech and check in to your hotel. DAY 6: MARRAKECH Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a visit of the top monuments charting the history of Marrakech. Admire the magnificent Koutoubia mosque, whose 70 metre-high minaret is the city’s most famous landmark. It dates from the late 12th century, when most of northern Africa and the southern Iberian Peninsula were part of the Almohad Empire. Behold the beautiful Bahia Palace with its exceptional cedar and marble decorations and discover the beautifully decorated Saadian Tombs before wandering in the shaded retreat that is the Agdal Gardens, where groves of citrus, fig, apricot and pomegranate trees are linked by paths lined by olive trees. After lunch, continue to the walled Medina and its maze of alleys and side streets. Browse the souks and admire the rich craftsmanship of their wares before arriving at Jemaa el-Fnaa square, the beating heart of Marrakech. Marvel at this bustling hive of activity as the sun sets over this vast space packed with stalls and heaving with snake charmers, Gnawa musicians and myriad colourful characters. Also, enjoy a visit to a Moroccan herbalist where you can purchase quality herbal products and remedies, a traditional way for curing and/or improving ailments. Get ready for the excursion to the Ourika Valley. Ourika Valley is perfect for those who want to discover the splendor of the High Atlas and discover the simple way of life of the Berbers. An hour's drive is enough to reach the Ourika Valley. First site, must to visit is the weekly market Tnine-Ourika: A small village where the Souk is aboard the wadi only Monday or Friday. Discover this beautiful village populated essenciellement Berber (possibility to visit the mills). Take, then, your way to the heights of the Atlas to explore the Cascades of Setti-Fatma. The landscape is becoming more green, and the air is getting cooler. Upon arrival, your hike will begin with your guide.
